majr.app publishes a privacy policy and terms of use, and both are live. they were written against what is true right now: a free beta with no billing, access by a token issued by hand, and no availability guarantee, so the documents say those things instead of implying more. the privacy policy states plainly that customer data is not used to train models, and it admits that no zero-retention arrangement is in place with the model provider, because implying a stronger guarantee than exists was the easier and worse option. the build now refuses to publish either document with an unfilled blank left in it, and that check reads the whole document rather than a list of fields someone has to remember to keep current.

exploring
- how much a legal document should claim about who owns model output. the terms state it as between you and us, and say outright that machine-generated material may not attract copyright in your jurisdiction at all, rather than assigning rights that may not exist to assign.
- which parts of the terms stop being true the day billing starts. the sections that only hold because there are no fees are marked as such in place, so that rewrite is a known list rather than a re-read of the whole document.
